Hello All,

I would like to update the Marble Hill Community on the meeting that was
held today (Monday, August 31) with the Department of Education.

The engineers' report has been completed and it has been determined that
the school is safe for students and faculty to begin classes on September
.  There are many rooms that will not be available on that date and need
further work.  Because of this the seven schools in the building will need
to be creative and flexible in the scheduling of classes.  We ask for your
patience and flexibility as we schedule students for the classes they need
this fall.

The campus will be closed until there is an official announcement from City
Hall indicating that non-construction personnel may enter the building.

Until this time my staff and I will continue to work off-site to prepare
for the beginning of the school year.

There will be an open town hall for all students, parents and staff of the
Kennedy Campus.  This will take place on Wednesday evening at 6:30.  The
location is to be determined.
Please continue to check the website and
listen to all phone messengers that are sent out to get the most up to date
information about the town hall.

Estimados padres,
campus John F. Kennedy (JFK Campus). La explosión dañó parte del
edificio escolar.

Elizabeth Rose
