New York Cares Day
"More than 100 New York City public schools are slated for big changes on Saturday, October 18. That’s when
8,000 New York Cares volunteers will spread out all over town to paint murals, clean playgrounds, reorganize
libraries, and more – all to make our schools cleaner, brighter places inside and out for students to work and
learn. And we need project leaders and artists to help make it happen!
New York Cares Day is the city’s largest day of volunteer service. It would not be possible without the hundreds
of volunteers who step up into leadership positions, and those who bring special artistic talent". -Source: New York Cares Program Guide.
